
Pentax Releases Budget Digital Cameras
Pentax introduces three new digital cameras, all at a price below U.S. $ 300.
The Pentax Optio I-10 (pictured) as the classical style SLR camera, with flash and speaker on the middle and artificial skin panel. These features 12.1-megapixel high resolution CCD sensor, a wide angle, 5X optical zoom lens, a 2.7-inch widescreen LCD, and HD video capture at 720p and 30 frames per second. Shooting features include image stabilization and anti-blur technology, smile capture, blink detector, and face detection that can identify up to 32 faces (even dogs and cats).
Meanwhile, the Pentax Optio H90 has a stylish design reminiscent of modern art and a variety of features similar to the full Optio I-10 (without the LCD screen). Come on Orange, Silver, Matte Black, and Ceramic While. Both I-90 and H90 are compatible with the Eye-Fi wireless memory card for instant upload images without having to remove the memory card or connect to a computer.
Finally, the Pentax Optio E90 has a 10-megapixel CCD sensor, 3X wide-angle zoom, and 2.7-inch LCD, all housed in a rubber body for better grip. Features include an Auto Picture mode automatically selects the best image capture settings for each scene and ISO 6400, ideal to capture moving subjects. The Optio E90 comes in Black and Wine Red.
All three cameras are available in February 2010, although pre-orders now being accepted. The Pentax Optio I-90 costs U.S. $ 299.95, the Optio H90 costs $ 179.95, and the Optio E90 is only $ 99.95.
